a seinfeld moment
Today on our way home from church, we watched as two cars vied for the same parking space. The truck stopped and reversed in preparation to parallel park just as the red car pulled up to head nose in to the parking spot. At this point, oddly enough, the car that was leaving was actually blocked in. The truck and the red car just kept edging closer and closer continuing to block the departing car in. It was at this point that we realized we felt like we were on an episode of Seinfeld. Just then the driver of the truck got out and went back to talk to the driver of the red car. We all stopped to watch as we thought it might get ugly. It was then that I noticed the red car had a handicap sticker. We all held our breath to see what would happen. The drivers talked for a few moments, and then the driver of the truck got in his truck and drove away, leaving the parking spot for the red car. As the truck drove away, I noticed the license plate on the back-from Florida! Of course! No self-respecting New Yorker would have given up such a prime parking location without more of a fight.
