shop, shop, shopping...I am not!

Here we are in one of the greatest shopping cities in the world, and I must admit I have done no shopping worth reporting. I have managed, however, to have a few items shipped my way courtesy of Barnes & Noble (same day delivery in Manhattan) and my good friend Amazon. Thank goodness for UPS! The problem is that all of the shopping is downtown, and although it isn't extremely far distance-wise, it is quite an undertaking with a three-year-old and the public transportation system. Plus, the thought of carrying the bounty as well as Sarah home makes me tired. I have yet to locate either an Old Navy or the GAP which I'm sure David is glad about, but I'm sad to say I do miss them a bit. I did peruse some of the high-end shops in Columbus Circle one day between doctor appointments and walked down Madison Avenue yesterday to catch the bus, but seriously, who can feel good about forking out obscene amounts of money in places like that?! Give me a couple of months until I'm back in shopping action, but until then, the UPS guy and I may become good friends.
