wine & cheese

We went to a wine & cheese party at David's department on Friday afternoon to celebrate the new department chair. Families of the new faculty were invited as well. David introduced Sarah to someone as "Sarah, my three-year-old," after which Sarah promptly introduced me to that same person as "Lesha, our wife." Everyone was extremely friendly and nice. Sarah really hit it off with the department chair's daughters with whom she played hide & seek in his office. The girls also kept her plate full-of blackberries and cheetos! Fortunately, everyone was enjoying the cheese and wine so much that no one noticed that Sarah ate every last blackberry on the fruit tray. I had ginger ale, and David had nothing.
